It is difficult to find a mission easier than this one. Just take out the fighters and let the destroyers battle each other. Simple.

The first Nav point is easy. Use your guns and save your missiles for the second Nav point.
With 10 fighters at Nav 2, it is a good idea to let loose with the missiles and make short work of the Kilrathi.
Finally at Nav 3, you have an assortment of capital ships. There is a large number of turrets in the area, so you may find it a good idea to redirect some power from your damage repair and engines to your shields and rely on your afterburners.

Here you have another test of endurance. Don't waste any time with the corvettes, use torpedoes if you are flying a Longbow or Thunderbolt, otherwise keep firing your guns at it until it dies. In particular, focus your fire on that nasty rear turret.
Try to save your missiles for the gauntlet once you finally reach Nav 1. Five waves of ships, against you and hopefully your wingman.
Remember your objective here is to escort the Victory so make sure no Kilrathi slip past you.
