Mission Briefing
The alien fleet has pursued the Midway through the jump point and is advancing at full speed. There is no retreat. Failure means death. Lieutenant Casey, you will lead Alpha Wing against the fighter cover, while Maniac will lead Bravo Wing's strike on the starships. When you have cleared the area, return to the Midway.

- The mission file has an additional destroyer which is set to appear at NAV 1 commented it. If the Leviathan is destroyed before the destroyer then the third wave of fighters would be four squid, but this does not function without the destroyer present in the game.

Zero/Stiletto/Maestro (RR) — As the Alien fleet lies smoldering, you join your friends for a bragging session. The CAG and captain show up to remind everyone that the path to victory is not yet complete. Finley says that the Plasma gun can't be used again without endangering the Midway. Finally, Blair suggests that you and Maestro get some rest.
Blair/CAG (RD) — These two are in a battle of words. The CAG's shooting down Blair's attempt to get back on the flight line, and he's visibly distraught about it.

Notes
- You've taken out carriers before, but this mission is challenging because of limited resources. There's no room for error, particularly when engaging the carrier's turrets.
- Even though the Leviathan carrier's fighter defenses ore fairly stiff, you probably want to take out the fighters before moving on to the carrier itself. In this situation you definitely want to worry about one problem at a time.
- On top of everything, you have to save another wing's butt on the way home. The extra ships at NAV 2 are pretty beat up, but they will be of some help against the Squids.
- If your bombers don't have enough ordnance left to take out the destroyer at NAV 2, don't worry about it. The important thing is that you rescued the bomber wing survivors.

Notes
- You should be pretty used to escorting bombers by now. Just stop the bugs from blowing up your bombers and everything will be happy.
- Take the number of fighters in the first wave down to around two before heading to the carrier to blow up any remaining shield generators. Your wingmen should be able to handle those remaining fighters until the next wave jumps in.
- This mission employs the usual trick of letting you think everything is under control before throwing an SOS call at you. Be prepared for it by keeping enough missiles back to take on the extra fighters.
