It follows D1: H'hrass - Relay Station Insertion and is followed by E1: T'lan Meth - Treasure Hunt if it and C3a: G'wriss - Cruiser Assault or C3b: G'wriss - Hydra Fleet Assault were successful, L1: Hellespont - Callisto Defense if either failed.

Mission Briefing

Bad news, Lieutenant: more enemy inbound, and that's not all. Not a word from the Midway. Our alien buddies are scrambling all the key frequencies, and the short-focus transmitters can't step over their signal. It doesn't stop there: the main relay transmitter's still inoperative. We can't send a wake-up call to Confed. You'd better keep the bad boys busy until we can get this baby on line, all right? Do it!

Dekker (RS) — Col. Dekker meets you while you're rearming and bears bad news — the Midway's comm channels have been jammed, and no one can warn Confed of the incoming Alien warships.

Briefing. You get to land on the comm station for a quick breather, while the Marines obligingly fix up any damage to your ship. But some inconvenient Aliens jump in and attack the station, and you're the only one capable of stopping them.

Notes

  • This is a tough battle. You're all alone in a rather weak fighter against a respectable alien force.
  • You have to get the skates first, to protect the relay station. Watch out for Morays and Skate fighters on your tail.
  • The second wave arrives early in the battle. Blast the ace in the Devil Ray with missiles (and make sure you still have missiles for him).
  • This is your first big chance to shine and earn some serious hero points.
  • Maniac will show up late in the fight to help with cleanup.

Success go to D2. / Failure you lose.

Notes

  • This mission can be quite a challenge. To start with you need to take out the Skate Ts to save the station. Unfortunately while you do this you'll have Morays trying to take you out.
  • The second wave of fighters is even more tricky. The Devil Ray will go straight for you launching missile after missile. Take it out as quickly as you can before moving on to the Red Manta.
  • Maniac's wing arrives a few minutes in to the mission, but probably not soon enough to be much help. The Midway arrives after a further few minutes. If you take out everything before it arrives, you'll need to wait.

Mission : H'hrass 2 : Relay Station Defense

Comments : The Tigershark has some real trouble keeping up with the Devil Ray, so i use dragonflies to deplete its shields quickly. When it veers around to come after me staight on, i unload as much dragonflies as i can right in its face.
