An Advanced Droid is an upgrade that can be installed on spacecraft to repair damaged subsystems in-flight. They became available for sale to privateers at ship dealers around 2670. The Advanced Droid is an improvement on the earlier Repair Droid offering the same functionality at twice the speed. The droids can repair a ships' generators, maneuvering jets and thrusters as well as several optional components: afterburners, jump drives, shields and targeting systems. They can not repair systems that have been completely destroyed or guns, weapons and armor.
