These files require that a specific codec is installed on your computer. Please check this DivX FAQ if you have no picture and/or sound when playing these. DivX 3 may be needed for some files, even if you already have a more recent version installed! Different versions of DivX can co-exist.

This is a very old video codec used in Microsoft Video For Windows. Almost all media players can handle this format.

You will need either VLC (recommended), Quicktime or the CoreAVC codec to play this file.

Requires Real Player. Only a few of our oldest, lowest quality files are in this format.

The VLC movie player can handle most video files (excluding RealMovie) without installing any additional codecs on your system. This may be an easier route for novice users.
