The way that the batmobile armor is designed is stupid - it inhibits the other defensive capabilities of the ship that it's mounted on in favor of the "armor" - is stupid. Shields for armor is an incredibly poor trade.

Have you ever heard of the Law of Diminishing Returns? Bigger is only better up to a certain point. IMO, that point is reached with the Vesuvius-class heavy carrier - the larger Midway-class CVs are *much* less effective per unit mass than the Vesuvii. Fighters are *astonishingly* deadly...
