Hornet Built to Blueprint Specs
NinjaLA has set out to make a model of the Hornet based closely on the blueprints included in Claw Marks. It's not the most elaborate model ever made, but it was done quickly using the basic Metasequoia program. The textures were done in Ulead Photoimpact X3. Hornets are a very popular fighter in fan projects.

Nighttime Launch Lights Up Sky
Every once in a while it's nice to look beyond all the impressive Wing Commander art and check out some real life space imagery. Not only are these shots beautiful, but the fact that these are photographs and not renders is always amazing. Here's some great shots from STS-128. The Space Shuttle Discovery is currently in orbit after concluding another successful mission to the International Space Station.
