Free Trader Pressed Into Service
Howard Day's hung up the green paint brush for the time being and slammed out an amazing Free Trader transport. The first three shots represent the preliminary stage with firm model configuration and temporary textures. Howard's already done with this ship, and the last three images show off his final design. Okay, I've finished the Free Trader. There's some minor work to be done to get it into engine, but not much. I changed the engine glow texture over to the orange we see in the sprites - it does help differentiate between the bigger capships and these smaller corvette-sized vehicles. Also, after putting the windows in there, I've come to realize how small this thing is - 83 meters is far smaller than I always thought this thing was. I was expecting something closer to 150-200 meters. Anyhow, random tidbit.

K'rakh Drish'kai Rai H'ra!
It's Howard Day Day here today. For fans who liked his previous Kilrathi Audio Test, here's two (5.4 meg wav) more (4.3 meg wav). Since Howard separately manages some of the growling effects, he was able to tune them and hopefully make the clips more intelligible. Here are the lines just in case.

"I shall mount your head in my lair Ape!"

"Terra shall become my personal hunting grounds monkey!"

"When we are done your worlds will be nothing but burnt out cinders!"

"Bugs Bunny will pay for your incompetence with his life!"
