It's Only A Paper Fool

Yesterday was April Fools Day. We try to do updates that are outrageously fake and fun... but if you didn't get that, we apologize: Joe Garrity still runs the Origin Museum, no one will ever sell Freespace 2 and Akkbar wasn't right. It's necessary to point this out because, despite everything, we still get regular e-mail from people asking for more information about Freelancer 2 following an April Fools update we ran in 2004.

Rounding out the day in Wing Commander foolishness, eddieb posted a fake Flight Commander update which supposedly "runs on all hardware from macs to linux to gameboy to HP calculators." If you fell for that one, shame on you.

Please note that the 3DO demo update is real. Despite the fact that it was posted on March 31st and contains the actual demo .ISO it somehow made its way to various 'fake news' lists around the internet.
