E3 2004 Officially Begins Share on Facebook Share on Twitter Update ID

Today the 2004 Electronics Entertainment Expo kicked off. There are hundreds of different games and products being unveiled, so it takes a while to absorb everything. Although Prophecy Advance was on display the last two years, it doesn't look like we'll see something like that this time. I have found a nice tribute to the series which is highlighted below. I am currently trying to catch up with a few other items of interest to Wing Commander fans as well. Here are a few pictures from inside the show, including a meeting with Gary Coleman.

More photos from E3 can be found here. We had some camera trouble today, so the pictures mainly focus on the West Hall. Electronic Arts, NCSoft (Richard Garriott), Microsoft Game Studios (Digital Anvil) and other notable developers are in the South Hall. We'll catch up with them tomorrow.

Classic Games Expo Honors Wing Commander Share on Facebook Share on Twitter Update ID

The Classic Games Expo is being held in conjunction with E3 this week. In a portion marked "Vintage PC Games," Wing Commander Privateer joins Populous, Civilization and others to help remind people of the good old DOS days.

They also had lots of old "wooden box" home consoles, arcade cabinets, eight-bit Nintendos and other fun stuff on display.
