Hi everyone, Happy New Year! I only just got back from vacation a few hours ago and fired up the machine and perhaps found the best present I received this year waiting for me on the CIC front page. Thank you to all who voted for the mod as the fan project of the year. It's been amazing fun for me to put this together, and it's been the fans' support and interest that has made me work at this mod with such continuous enthusiasm. Thanks to all who have helped in the growth and development of the mod to date. Thanks to all CIC staff for making this site the WC playground that it is and allowing us to enjoy Wing Commander in new and truly unique ways.
The winner for Flight Commander Mod of the Year was announced yesterday, and Ranger's Glory took the honor in 2006! A number of projects were active in 2006, but RG came in as the clear winner. Iceblade's last major release came out around Christmas 2005, but he has been working on a new update which should be ready soon.
Now about what the release will be this year. Well, I won't give it away, but I will tell you that this year's package holds more than just resources for other FC modders. We are still looking for voiceover actors and actresses, plenty of roles left. Ranger's Glory also needs a new 3d animator, so if you are interested, post in the jobs forum on the RG boards.
