Following up on his neat Drayman work, Cyberion has put together a Hellcat for people to use.
Not high on the poly count, so good for the fast rendering. :D Few details (nurnes) make it look very realistic from a distance. Originaly the model was created just to increase my modeling abilities. Currently it is being used in my personal freeware game based on the Wing Commander Universe.
Neat. You can pick it up here.
Who would have thought? A wedding and a birthday in the same year! ace turns exactly one year older than he was last year. Congratulations!
Nintendo has finalized the name and design of their next portable system. It's a bit sleeker than their E3 model and apparently a little more compact. The price and release date are still undecided, but Nintendo has reiterated the unit will be on sale in the next several months. The system features two screens, with the bottom screen acting as a touch pad and second monitor. There's a microphone input for voice recognition, and wireless play is supported. Although new games will be in a separate format, older cartridges such as Prophecy Advance will continue to be supported.
With the zip you can find several texture files, textured model file and untextured model file. Also you may find the rendered image to show the model a little bit. ;) Ohh ya, you may distribute it freely while it goes with this text file. :D
I hope you like this Hellcat model. I spent three days making it, not very hard, but I put into it some soul. ;)
Wing Commander Movie Model Rundown
Atherin has been busy recreating nearly every ship in the Wing Commander film using SketchUp. There's really not much missing - we don't see the Kilrathi Concom, Diligent or some of the small background items, but just about all of the other major stuff is there. It's a pretty nice lineup! Hobbes Betrayal Crosses Over Language Barriers
Most people are familiar with the infamous video cuts that were made to fit all of the video on the Wing Commander 3 discs. Helpful sequences such as the TCN news bursts and Hobbes explanation were omitted due to space constraints. Fortunately, these are now available here at the CIC, but for a long time, the main way players could watch the Hobbes scene was to track down a copy of WC3 on the Playstation or 3DO. (2018-05-23)

Check Out Spanish Wing Commander Armada
Christian Klein has found another rare and exotic Spanish Wing Commander translation by DROSoft. His last couple finds were for WC1 and the Secret Missions, but this jumps all the way forward to Armada. It would be a treat to see how they changed the Voices of War manual and how the English and Spanish versions would mesh over multiplayer. (2018-05-22)
