WC Novels....

That was stupid. Especially because we don't have Vondoom around anymore to entertain us with his long winded explinations.

The WC novels expand the WC universe very much.

Well they can also throw it in disorder by contadicting the game :)
But they also grant some new interesting information

There was no reason for bringing it up again?
Excuse my question, but: Did you fall into a lack of creativity or what is wrong, Sir?;)
I really believe we discussed enough about that theme.

It was not against you. I asked Antman. When I was here for the first times I also didn't understand everything what was going on here.
In some ways and sometimes it is even now so, because I am also 'relatively new here'. And I also walked some people on their feet, because I don't want to be everybody's darling who always says'Yes' and 'Amen'.
But in fact if you look at the date, you see the last post in it was written 2 weeks ago. So it is an old thread which was also left off until Antman brought it on the tapet again.

Aah, I understand. And I also already managed to walk on someone's feet, but it was the fault of my less than perfect English...a misunderstanding.

What did I miss, where is Vondoom?

No, it was meant in general. It needs some time to walk somebody so much on the feed, that he/she is relly sour.
For example there was somebody who talked about porno in the videos. This was a case where some people really became "nice". They really told him what they thought about him. But normally you can't drive somebody so mad to let him become insulting or etc.
But with the English problem (I even have the same one), you can ask nearly everybody here if you don't know some words or misunderstood the context etc. But of some people you get the nice advice to buy a dictionary (own experience). But if you often discussed with some people you know whom you can ask and of whom you don't get the information you want.

Okay, Manjana, don't eat me alive from bringing this up again ("brav, Manjana, brav..." LOL), but I'd like to express my opinion on this (after all, that was the original thread).

I just bought the novels Wing Commander: The Price of Freesom and False Colors.
I started to read the Price of Freedom and I first noted that Forstchen describes Arrows in the initial attack of the convoy by the Dragons, and in the game it was clearly Hellcats in the opening scene...

So I was wondering if these contradictions are frequent, and if they are somewhat annoying in the end (or are they bearable, considering how much more detail you get from the novels?)...

The incident described in the WCIV novel is, in fact, a completely different attack -- if you'll recall, there were a whole bunch of them (according to WCIV). The one described in the novel is in a different location, has different ships and different escorts with different pilots. (G)

THe book also described ferrets and other ships not in WCIV being used when the Lexington attacked that one planet to "rescue" the biochemist being held hostage. Its easily explained that it was a big enough operation that in the game you didnt see all parts of it.

Aaaah, I get it... I did not realize that at first. It makes sense at the end there were several attacks on convoys, Confed wouldn't be so alarmed if it happened only once.

Yeah, ok I get it, thanx guys!
Oh BTW, they still used Ferrets in WC IV??! LOL

Well im sure you could find even pre-war class fighters in the border worlds. All kinds of modifications can prolong the life of a ship.
