Woah take it easy fly boy. No need to get so hot under the collar. I was just pointing out that some people, such as myself, are students and can't afford such things in life just yet. It seems to me you guys need to have or holiday or some calming activity...
Don't you worry, when I'm rich, in around 15-20 years time, I'll come gunning after you with my 30000 collection of DVDs or whatever format that will supersede it.

Das Boot is an amazing film. I actually watched it three times in a row after I bought it. Well, all right - I only watched it three times because it had multiple soundtracks on the DVD (I watched it in English, then Director's comments, and then French). But I enjoyed it even more every time .
As for The Postman... it's got great music, good acting, great visuals, a sophisticated storyline (probably why people didn't like it), and it's the only movie I ever saw where I actually felt proud when I saw the American flag at the end. I mean, for someone who studies international relations, and therefore is used to thinking of the US as a very bad thing, that's really something. I think that's what they were aiming for with Independence Day (which was an awful, awful, awful film... dumb, illogical plot, bad acting, and major propaganda overload), but The Postman actually does it right.
Hmm, I'm gonna have to watch it again some time soon.
