He was a member of the Kilrathi-Human Friendship Committee during the 2668 armistice. Jukaga, the organizer of the committee, had helped Dr. Torg in his study of the war. The study centered on the idea that there had been a conspiracy on both sides to keep the war going over the years. The death of Torg's brother-in-law and many of his students were to blame for his strong anti-war sentiments. He was at the Vacuum Breather with a group of people, complaining loudly about the cost of the war and calling Geoffrey Tolwyn a traitor who should be shot for ignoring the cease-fire at the Battle of Munro. He headed for the door when he met stiff opposition from the other patrons, including Jason Bondarevsky and Etienne Montclair.
