During the battle at McAuliffe in 2634, TCS Ark Royal took two torpedo hits during the offensive portion of the confed counter-attack, one of which failed to detonate. The one that exploded almost took out the ship, caused 50% casualties and disabled its launch and recovery capability. As a result, Turner told Ark Royal to break off, take the lead in the retreat and rendezvous on the other side of the jump point
The TCS Ark Royal was mothballed during the false armistice. It was pushed out of the shipyard on one engine and it served to draw fire and spread out the enemy in the Battle of Earth. |
