Stage Magician David Silvermeadow began the first day of his lifelong exile yesterday, much to the distress of his fiancee, top model Hilda Vacant. Silvermeadow was punished when his greatest ever trick, making Janus IV's food depository disappear up his sleeve, went tragically wrong; the depository failed to re-appear, and all the planet's food supplies vanished with it. New supplies are urgently needed to avert a famine. Silvermeadow's coat was impounded yesterday for testing by top boffins.
