What would be the best way to integrate the CIC Universe map into this? Links to the Map section itself along with putting images of the areas on their respective pages?

I'm not sure how to do it, but we could probably integrate a map of the universe that leads to a sector and then a quadrant, allowing a user to click on a star system and get more information about it. I'll try and see if I can figure out how it is done, but I'm not giving any promises.--Vinman 01:00, 25 August 2007 (CDT)

I don't know about including a picture of the area of each system on its page... It's doable but a lot of work. For now it would certainly be simple enough simply to link to the map of the sector / quadrant that a system / sector is in from the article.. An interesting side project though would be to link from the map to the article for the system / quadrant / sector that was clicked on.--AD 01:09, 25 August 2007 (CDT)

This is a project we should see if anybody wants to take on. --Dundradal 22:16, 15 August 2010 (CDT)

What would be involved with this? Use this as a 'root' category and step down into sector/quadrant/system/planet levels? Would the navigation maps be better off in this section? - Wedge

Oh, wait... I see that's already been done. So what's this discussion about? Putting images, or links to images, within these categories? - Wedge

We should add a nice image of the universe map on this page. We could imagemap it to jump to sectors than on the sector category/page add the sector and so forth as imagemaps. --Dundradal 18:44, 22 August 2010 (CDT)

The Prophecy map will only cover the main sectors, but it's a start. - Wedge

Awesome, although for me the map goes outside the gray border of WCPedia. Is this related to size or something? - Dundradal 13:21, 23 August 2010 (CDT)

Umm... It's fine for me. What resolution are you using? I'll reduce it a little. - Wedge

1600x1200 it looks fine now, before it just left the frame. --Dundradal 17:01, 23 August 2010 (CDT)

And this is very cool now. Granted it's duplicating the CIC map page, but still cool to navigate when it's done. --Dundradal 17:02, 23 August 2010 (CDT)

I also use 1600x1200, but I didn't see any problem. Maybe you have extra window decorations getting in the way, or something. Either way, I suppose this reduced resolution will work better for people with lower vertical resolution typically found in widescreen monitors. And I don't think it's duplicating the CIC map page - this flat-format map hasn't been seen before, as far as I know. - Wedge

I don't know if something's borked with the wiki or not; I haven't been able to see the map on this page for the last few weeks, regardless of what browser I'm using. Capi3101 (talk) 03:26, 30 April 2015 (CDT)
