||During the war, a squadron consisted of roughly 10 fighters. Before the war, it was 16. As part of the reduction in forces after the Kilrathi war, the Great Assembly had the fleet scrap a third of its squadrons. Admiral Tolwyn did so, but reverted to 16 fighters per squadron. The end result was that fighter count stayed the same. The Assembly was not amused.
