When and how.....

Again, Napoleon, the Kilrathi evolved to be similar to a succesfull predatory species *because* of their environment, not just for kicks. :)

Well I'd guess that the Kilrathi hate humans for the mass genocide which occurred on their homeworld. Although it was a necessity, ie, kill or be killed, in Kilrathi eyes, it was the destruction of their culture and race.

Regardless, they got what was coming to them.

Also, what is the Conferation's view on lesser races such as a Mopoks. Obviously it is NOT non intervention like in Star Trek seeing as in WC1 they were capturing Kilrathi for the humans.

Three trillion? isn't that a bit too high? Considering thats 500 times how many humans exist right now. Would there be enough space for 500 (or 250 assuming 12 billion people each planet) planets of Earth's size (especially looking at Origin's map)?

Yeah, id believe 100 millions maybe a couple billion but even considering civilian causlties, most of Confed isnt along the Kilrathi front. IT extends pretty far away from it.

The Confederation does have a non-intervention policy with primitive sentients -- in the case of the Mopokes, they were forced to interact with them to stop the Kilrathi from enslaving (of course, we also know that Terran civilians set up unauthorized colonies and such among the Mopokes...).

It's 3 trillion Confed citizens -- the WCU map doesn't start to show the entire Wing Commander Universe, just the parts we're most familiar with.

WHere did you get that figure for the casulties? And there arent any jump points leading away from any systems on the map. what else is there?

The Prophecy Guide tells us that the casulties included around 2.1 trilion humans.

And there are plenty of systems not shown on the map, which are mentioned in the novels and such.

Based on the gruwth of humanity, in 100 years the human population went from 2 billion to 6 that is an increase of 3 times meaning that in 600 years we could potentially have 4.374 trillion at any one point but since the war encompased 2 generations we can say the that is the 2.1 trillion is correct then 1/4 of all humans are killed. BTW that number is actually probably very low considering the exponentiall rise in human population but that number gives the ability to have 729 planets that have 6billion people on them, I doubt that all habitated planets were able to achieve the same number of people in 300-400 years as what humans on earth were able to achieve in 10,000 years (the number of years that humans in their current form have existed)

We know that Earth, for instance, has far *more* than 6 billion people on it in WC (Voices of War). But compare the current world population to that of 200 years ago... trillions and trillions of people in a Confederation (made up of seven races, mind you) that spans thousands of stars is entirely possible.

As long the folks are not on earth when the population reaches 6 billion, it's ok by me.

Arr, what I mean is that, according to Voices of War, the population of Earth will eventually hit (at least) 14 billion (G)

Right the pop has been over 6 billion since last year. And also do we know how many systems the Confederation spans because if we are talking thousands I am not sure that the 11+ heavy carriers (10 Midways and 1 remaining vesuvius, the McKinnley) as well as escort carriers would be enough to protect so many systems

I am talking about new ones, I dont belive that ConFed is going to just ignore the new threat to then.
And even at full prodution those 8 reamaing Midways are going to take time to be build.
And there is still the "Eisen" mystery ship...
If the Eisen is a vesuvius, more could have being made.

The Eisen could be a Vesuvius, or another type of Heavy Carrier or as was stated by I believe EW it does not need to be a heavy carrier at all
