The "old" WC 2 bombers had jump Capability. Bombing mission allow you to jump to another system are more exciting.

Only problem you don't have thrusters but, especially on broadsword, you don't need it.
 
Conan the Destroyer is a terrible movie. Composer Basil Poledouris, who also did the f*cking epic job on Conan the Barbarian, hated the sequel. He called it "Conan the Poser".
The movie is bad bad bad.

The music is great though. :)
 
I recently rediscovered my ancient WC2 Deluxe CD, and I've gotta say that no matter what you say about the Broadsword (although it is really fun to shred Sarthas by the dozen!), the bombing missions always seemed really cinematic for me. Once you take out the escorts (a 'Titanic' job in itself), you limp away from the Capship while under heavy flak fire. You get out to about 20 klicks, out of range of flak or AM guns, and cut thrust. Sit there, staring the Kat down, as the torpedo locks. Once the ping sounds, shove throttles to full, dodging flak and AM blasts while attempting to maintain your lock, your shields deteriorating all the time, closer, AM blast, dodge! flak, shields at 50%, closer, 5 klicks, launch, pull away, glance through your rear turret to check for a positive hit, make it away alive, then do it all over again!
Whew! It always left me drained. But that's just me. ;)
 
No, he means cinematic. Those 10 minutes while you sit waiting for your shields to recharge gives you plenty of time to go out and get more popcorn :p

You can torp the capship out of range of AM weapons.
 
every time I fight the Kat fighters we dog-fight to the point of me getting in the cap-ship's way :(
 
If you find yourself getting too close to the capship, just turn and run for a bit. Use your radar to keep the capship roughly behind you and zigzag away to avoid most of the incoming fire. I believe your turrets will still fire without you controlling them (at least I'm fairly certain about the Broadsword), although not as fast or accurately as if you were controlling them. Once you're outside range of the Capships flak guns you can usually turn and take care of the fighters pretty easily.
