but to answer the main question of this thread, the cats we saw in the movie represented a radially more evolved version of the cats from the game series. i would be logical for the cats to lose their fur, we did, for the most part. but their faces, thats just a let down, Jar-Jar was better. i need not continue

i was going off of another thread, they were complaining about the cats' faces not moving in the movie. so it was really more of a bad joke than a real riddle.

Well, you see, every movement they made was instantly countered with a backwards- negative, if you will- movement. This "backward," movement negated the initial movement, thus cancelling out all movements and making the move count zero.

That makes little sense. Why would a movie that takes place before the games show a more evolved version of the Kilrathi?
 
im guessing ur referring to:
"for every action, there is an equal and opposite reaction."
but if this applied to an extreme, we would not be able to smile.;)
all i was saying, is that it was just bad animatronics.

the Movie doesn't fallow the games to the "t", and Chris Roberts wanted to depart from the games when it came to the cats.

to extend ur point would be to say that the movie was a fake, as the claw didn't look like the claw from WC1. not to mention a few other details....
 
That's right. He obviously wanted to make the Kilrathi look different (because that's the way they are). That does not, however, mean that the intention was to show a more evolved Kilrathi species.

By the way, my point was not that the movie was a fake. My point was that you aren't making sense.
 
what i meant to say, was to make them look futher up the evolutionary lader. they don't have to be litlerally superior. they have a more evolved phisical from, but mentally, are aparently the same. i guess we could call it a "refined" appearence.

i worded it incorrectly in a preivious post.
 
I understand that. And I understand what you mean when you say that they look more evolved than the Kilrathi from the games. What I don't understand is why you said that they represented a more evolved version of the Kilrathi. A lot of things in the universe look alike, but that doesn't mean that they represent each other.

I may have missed something... Did Roberts state somewhere that it was his intention to show a more evolved Kilrathi species in the movie?
 
just to restate,i used represents falsely.

As for Chris's statement, i've heard it a couple of times, but i've never found written proof. though the final Kilrathi from the movie speak pretty clearly that someone wanted a new look.
 
If you've read anything of the sort I'm rather sure the term 'evolution' was used in regards to the look of the Kilrathi, rather than an actual evolution of the species. The Kilrathi in the movie were an evolution of Roberts' concept of the Kilrathi from the games. They were not a more advanced species.
 
Here ya go...

See, the older Kilrathi ships had really poor radiation shielding around their power plants, so they were always having these radiation leaks. Of course, being the fearless warriors they are, things like infertility and the other dangers that come from exposure to radiation were minor nuisances when compared to the opportunity to hunt humans.
Eventually, the majority of Kilrathi during this time period were exposed to so much radiation that they lost all of their hair, and thus you have the bald Kilrathi that were seen in the movie.
