Which of the WC games is easier to mod? Especially between the 2 Vision engine ones, Prophecy and Secret Ops. I would think perhaps SO, it seems simpler without features like FMV and stuff.

the documentation well... sucks to be honest the SF_* functions aren't covered anywhere, there's little in the way of sample missions / .PAS files.. unless I'm missing something

Hi want to try making missions, any pointers for beginners? Have downloaded WCPascal, socv101, misb21 and somm. Compiled one of the sample missions in misb21, tried to use somm to put the mission in, and it gives some error about "uncertain status"

Hope there is proper joystick support as an option, not thrilled about this autopilot fighting and flying-by-mouse thing.

Interesting to read all the responses Seems to me most people can be split into 2 categories, those that use awesome firepower and defenses to pound the enemy, and those that prefer to use light fighters/escorts to dance with their prey. All good, its all fun :D

Uber ships are fun to fly, what with all the firepower and/or defensive capabilities. (e.g. Excalibur, Dragon, Vampire) but ultimately I guess for me they're not as fun to fly as the more standard stuff. There's a greater sense of achievement in racking up 20 bogies in a Hellcat than a Dragon.
