Laser Guidance System | # 793 | |
Name |
Laser Guidance System |
About |
Broadswords in 2668 had a laser guidance system strapped onto its belly. When exposed towards a torpedo fired by the Broadsword, it provides in-bound guidance. If target lock is lost, the weapons officer can guide the torpedo in manually. The weapons officer can also deal with anti-torpedo missiles and shield jamming by the target's defensive systems. The downside is that the bomber had to stay in the area with its belly exposed until impact.
Such a guidance system was used at the Battle of Munro, part of Operation Red Three, which took place on 2668.191. |
