Please avoid scaling images. Images should be uploaded at the original resolution to avoid various scaling artefacts - most modern browsers perform their own sampling and interpolation when displaying images at a different resolution than what is specified for a given image. - Wedge

Ok. But I didn't scale it but cut Flint's head out in paint. --FekLeyrTarg 14:49, 21 July 2010 (UTC)

...well, the original image seems zoomed in compared to an original screen grab.

I'll make an exception here, but I generally don't like taking frames from Queeg's movie. Even though he uses the higher-quality PlayStation videos (relative to the PC version, anyway), the DivX/XviD re-compression throws away a lot of the colour information, scenes look rather dark and under-exposed compared to their PC counterparts.

What are people's thoughts? Should we use the re-compressed videos - as blurry and dull as they are - or should I stick with the PC version, even if they are lower resolution and only 256-colour? My personal feeling leans towards the latter, but I'm open to suggestions. - Wedge

Okay, so in some scenes, especially those with static backgrounds and/or mostly composed of interactions between people, even the heavily compressed XviD movie seems superior to the PC version. However, other scenes, such as those with lots of CG rendering, or those with coloured lights, displays, etc, the PC version seems to retain more of the colour information. See the history for Vaquero's head shot and Blair and Devereaux's kiss on Vespus for examples of the first case. - Wedge
