In Wc1/2 though, breached armour was really bad...

[Come to think of it, having sensors to register how much armour is left would be a nightmare for designers and engineers!]

Once your armour was gone though, you definitely had to keep an eye on the shield indicators...
I disagree... unless your shields were also down, no major damage was inflicted on your fighter...Originally posted by Mekt-Hakkikt

I'm not too fond of the Rapier myself. I'm replaying WC1 now, and I'm just getting to the missions in rapiers. Everybody's excited I get to fly a rapier, but I'm not. I'll take a raptor over a rapier anyday. Especially in my current mission, I have to escort a captured Ralari to the Tiger's Claw, and somehow, whenever I hit afterburners, I always crash into something, be it the Ralari or an enemy. And then I'm dead. Again...Originally posted by Eder
Hmmm, maybe it's just me, but in WC2, almost every time I had my armour breached, I managed to land safely... WC1 was another story though, especially those darned Rapiers... ugh!
Edit: Oh, and the few WC2 missions in which I lost my armour and didn't make it back were mostly flown in Rapiers too...... strange, huh?

Of course, with shields down and armour breached, a few laser shots are enough to put you out of business...
