Well, I know it's a . for decimal and a , for thousand places in US, and the opposite in Brasil, but I don't know how's that in the rest of the world.

I wish it was the same everywhere, because it's not really important which is which.
 
Actually, it is important, as clearly the United States uses the right system, and everyone else needs to fall in line. ;) (Incidentally, I know that Spain uses the same system as Brazil; maybe it's common in the continental European countries.)
 
I woudn't mind using the other system (I have to use it when I write in English anyway) if that meant an unification of this standard.
