hobbes explanation

WCP and SO i play on nightmare, but wc3&4 i play on the standard difficulty. Is there a difficulty setting in WC1 ?

in wc1 there is no difficulty setting, but its easy anyway.
in wc3, i play on hard until halfway through cd3, then it gets too tough so i play on rookie.
in wc4 and prophecy (dont have SO) i play on rookie also.

but the odds against you are stupidly high in wc3-prophecy

WC3 is hard, but i never played it on ace or lower.

The odds in WCP are.. well, they outnumber you in (let's say..) quadrouple. But WCP and SO are a so easy on Nightmare, dunno why. Maybe I'm a little Blair too...

You have to start on rookie, otherwise the cats will kick your arse.

Tip: Use the simulator. You've never played WC before, and by training in the sim your skills raise.

Just some tips...

- Fire missiles close, otherwise the cats drop decoys
- Don't fire Heat Seekers at very manouvereble craft. When they turn fast, the missiles lose there lock
- Drop decoys yourself
- When a cat/bug fires a missile when you go head-to-head, shoot the missile. Saves decoys.
- Use the Q and W keys when you control the craft your flying for some fancy manouvers.

It's funny to play WC with a bad CALIBRATED joystick. Your ship fly wherever it wants to go.

"To bodly go where no other bad calibrated joystick has gone before !!!"

It was originally uncertain whether Dakhath ejected, but WC3 clearly demonstrates that he did :). It should be noted that even if his Dralthi was the unejectable kind, the ship can be abandonded - Hunter "ejected" out of an unejectable Dralthi in Freedom Flight.

As for Gratha aces, I for one don't mind at all... Gratha are tough enough when being flown by rookies :).

People eject from Dralthi all the time -- Vengeance in WCA, pilots in WC3, just not the one Blair flew in SM2. although I think it's been determined that the Dakhath in WC3 was a *different* Dakhath... (the name *means* Deathstroke, so having the same callsign isn't so unusual).

What Hunter did was climb out of the hole that you use to get in to the Dralthi so he wouldnt be in it when it crashed into the side of the Austin. Hardly ejecting. IF he hadnt had a whole bunch of time beforehand like if he had been shot at and was going to blow up hed have been dead.

I liked Hunter...fellow Australian, quite stereotypical though... :( bloody yanks :P

(and for those who may be inquisitive as to if we have pet Kangaroos....yes we do! We also ALL talk like Crocodile Dundee, throw shrimps (prawns) on our barbies. Oh and I forgot, we don't have electricity either!

I dont know what that little rant was about but I liked Hunter too. He was funny, compassionat towards his fellow pilots, brave and knew a pretty lady when he saw one. Whats not to like?

Oh don't worry. I was just going on about how ignorant some people can be. A friend of mine went on exchange to the US for a year and those were some of the questions that were asked of Australia.

Well considering we get a lot of american shows which show a fairly large cross section of american society, we get a fairly non stereotypical image. Of course there's a few, but not as much as the other way around.

I guess its just the way the American media was permeated the world. You get that with all the major cultural influences.
