Hardest Mission

Yes that mission really takes the cake for some, I can do it but I have to play it several times to get it "right"
I never had any trouble with the drone, simple hung in his tail and let it have it, those confed fighters are good at distracted him.
The hardest mission for me is the "recover the data with a heavy destroyer in your tail" in WC II.

i think any mission with a corvette in is hardest. i dont know why but the kilrathi corvettes (wc3) kicked ass. i send my wingman in to kill them... unfortunately unless they have torpedo they die all the time. im surrounded by idiots. however i realised i could use this to my advantage. once maniac was "at risk" i sent him in to his death hehehe. this meant the mission was a bitch to finish but hey im blair right?

someone said about collisions, this reminds me of wc3. many a time the odds against me were reduced by unexpected kilrathi on kilrathi collisions. shame you cant get cap ships to collide hehehe
is a corvette a cap ship or not?

Yes, a coevette is a capship.

But the Corvettes in WC3 are easy, but the one(s) in WCP is realy hard to take down. Does that one has more turrets or did the cats learn how to shoot ?

yeah, the prophecy has 2 stormfires that arent in wc3. but that doesnt account for how much better it is. ANYWAY why to the cats even have a corvette??? they were supposed to dismantle them. but if i were confed i would have decided i wanted all kilrathi cap ships

Yes, those "war time" corvettes work too damn well now, I could destroy one of those back in WC III in any Fighter, just destroy the turrets and it just became a big target to shoot at, a funny thing happens to me in WC III, The torpedos some times dont do any damage, I think that is something about the angle were the torpedo hit, but I always kill then with guns so its no big problem for me.
The best way do destroy a Kilrathi Corvette in WC P is with missiles only, too close and you are dead.

The only one that comes to mind as being hard was one of the Cerberus escort missions in SO. It is one of the loosing path missions (might have been in the Talos system).
If you succeed in one of the earlier missions it is a nice easy escort run with a few bugs to squash. If you fail the earlier mission it becomes a complete pain in the arse to do.
If you have a single wingman left at the end of the first NAV Point, you are lucky...if you have one left at the end of the second NAV Point, you are obviously on the easiest setting!

As for the Shy Meadows mission...besides being (on occasion) quite hard, it did have the best dialogue!!

If people are wondering why there are Kilrathi Corvets around, perhaps instead you should wonder about the Frathi II class cruiser

The Kilrathi still have some ships from the war time, those are alowed for self-defence and need aproval from ConFed. and you belive that a old war time kilrathi Cruiser is a match to the new ConFed Cruiser? I think not.

"Never saw the Stormfire's, but i can remember the yellow sucker all to well..."

The corvette doesn't mount the original Stormfire, it mounts Stormfire Mk. 2s but the kittens do not or cannot load any ammunition.

looks i guess. and so the specs look better.
a wartime cruiser might not be a match for a newer cruiser, but what about a frigate? or some other lower class ships?

ice you might be right there. remember in wc3, when thrak sends his message? right after that hobbes says "Kilrathi believe always that war is psychological"

You know who we mean "mister i know it better". But maybe that psygolocigal thing is true (i think it's more a mistake of origin, no to let the stormfires fire)

I agree that it was a mistake on their part, but you misinterpreted me. I did not mean to be a know it all (even though I do know everything :) ) I was just pointing out that that point of view was Ralgha's not Hobbes's maybe Hobbes would have said something different.
