Funniest moment

ain't read the book, but just about anything bad happening to Maniac has to be good :D

Okay, for those who haven't read the novel, here's basically what happens. Maniac is getting stuck into Blair about Rachel, and Blair is not in the mood, but says more or less what he said in the game, or words to that effect. He then starts on Angel, not just complaining about her, but outright badmouthing her as well. This sets Blair off, and he threatens to smash his head in. He very nearly does. Not funny because it was so serious, but still good.

just for that i ammend my favorite part. now it is the part where Maniac gets his ass kicked by Dekker!!!!!!!!!

I have 3. the first one Is after you school flash in the simulator and his response to it after you shoot out his hot air and in 4 when you chose to let decker hit maniac and maniac's response.
the third is any time knight had his I'm taking a crap (his pissed off or shocked look) look on.

Yeah, I changed my mind on which is my fave scene too because of that. Definetly the same as yours (And that scene makes Dekker my fave character in the game). It replaced, I may have said what my fave scene was before, but it replaces Maniac's "I GOT FOUR QUEENS!"

is it just me or would flint have made a better love interest in three instead of rachelle corillis? (to be honest for some reason I just don't like the Corillis character shes to bitchy)

I always choose Flint. it's more practical because I'd rather have a wingman (even if the comp. AI isn't all that good) than a tech. I am able to choose my own weapons (and I most always change Rachels standard config) and anyway Flint looks better!! :D

Rachel was Blair's official choice, so I understand.

Another good scene I've thought of is in the final mission of HOTT. When you go up against Thrakhath, taunt him, listen to him begging to be killed (he doesn't, but what he says leads to only one possible correct way of dealing with him) and then you oblidge him. Plus I really like the drama in TPOF ending as well.

damn straight flint is youthful and sort of looked like sandra bullock abit and rachelle corillies is getting up there in age (shoot ginger lynn or rachelle for those who don't know was making porn movies in the early 80's I believe)

On a side note I for some reason am having trouble finding time to read False Colors
Hey does anyone know if forstchen will right another book on wc (maybe about tolwynn's nephew and how he copes with his uncles treason and suicide)

What I mean is what he says is basically to goad Blair into fighting him, and if Blair ended up being the victor, do you really think he would let Thrakhath live if he ejects or somehow survives? I know I wouldn't.

The funniest moment in WC has to be the pep talk Eisen gives you just before you fight Flash in the sim in WC3.

Eisen: Kick that little twerp's ass!

Heh. My favorite Eisen quote is his "elves" speech when you eject.

Eisen: I know it gets hairy out there, but you can't abandon your spacecraft just because some Kilrathi is sniffing around your tail! Do you think I've got elves in the back room buiding these things?

that is a funny one... i like the scene in WC4 where Eisen is about to leave and you talk to Wilford and Maniac thinks he is the acting captain, just his face when he finds out it's not him... just makes me laugh...

Oh, Ok:D He is not begging to be killed. If you beg for something you actually want to happen. Thrakkath ofcourse didnt want to die!;)

He didn't?!

then again the Cats always had the code if they Know there gonna die there gonna do it with a bang and with honor. I think thrakhath figured he was in a lose\lose situtation so why not die by his archrival or at least have a chance of taking blair out in a big dramatic battle. also by getting blair focused on him it could have prevented the impending doom of the Cats. I make this assumption by reading a paragraph from the book False colors in the first chapter of the book where the cousin of thrakhath (I don't know his name) knows he's got no chance but wants his crew to finish off the dover before his capship gets destroyed.

You don't think he wants to die? If he said that to me, I'd stuff him in a coffin, drag it out into a field, and set it ablaze. I think that most other people would kill him one way or another. Have the script for the Loki incident, damn every time I thought of him or saw him past there, I thought 'dead man walking'. (okay kitty). I wish I had the encounter with the bastard in Kilrah as well. I'll put what I can below so you can judge what you'd do if you were Blair.

THRAKHATH (V.O.)
The Heart of the Tiger has failed his race . . . He has failed himself . . . He has failed the human he knows as Devereaux . . . Angel . . . his lair-mate . . .

EVERY COMM CHANNEL NOW CARRIES THIS TRANSMISSION . . .

THRAKHATH (V.O.)
His heart has not been valiant enough . . . His warring has not been skillful enough . . . And he has failed a true warrior, the Angel . . . For she displayed heart . . .

THRAKHATH
Only one among them is worthy of being treated as a warrior. The one they call ‘Angel.”

ON THAT CUE, ANOTHER DISHEVELED AND BLOODIED PILOT IS ESCORTED INTO THE THRONE ROOM BY A HEAVILY-ARMED HONOR GUARD, AND THE BLOODLUST RISES UP IN THE KILRATHI AGAIN.

THE PILOT IS COLONEL JEANNETTE DEVEREAUX - - CALLSIGN: ANGEL. AROUND 30, SHE IS PETITE. THE WAR HAS NOT TAKEN ITS TOLL ON HER BEAUTIFUL BELGIAN FEATURES. BUT SHE WEARS HER DEFIANCE LIKE A SHIELD.

THE KILRATHI CAN BARELY BE KEPT AT BAY: FOR A SECOND, IT SEEMS SHE’LL BE TORN TO PIECES RIGHT IN FRONT OF US.

THRAKHATH APPROACHES, AND ANGEL LOOKS AT HIM WITH DISDAIN AS SHE STRUGGLES AGAINST HER CONSTRAINTS.

THRAKHATH
Still defiant, Major Devereaux? If we were to offer co-existence with your kind, would you not accept it?

ANGEL
The Kilrathi do not co-exist.

THRAKHATH
No. And now that the tide has turned in this war, your defiance is a pathetic and useless gesture.
ANGEL
You bore me, monsieur.
Disintegrate me so I might join my comrades . . .

THRAKHATH REGARDS HER WITH AN EVIL GRIN

THRAKHATH
Disintegration is not for you . . .

HISSES AND CATCALLS FROM THE SURROUNDING THRONG, WHO ARE LOOKING FOR A KILL . . .

THRAKHATH
Your fate will be different . . .

ANGEL REPLIES BY SPITTING IN HIS FACE. THRAKHATH GROWLS AND TURNS TO THE THRONG.

THRAKHATH
The human cannot appreciate the honor that I am about to bestow her.
She is not only a great warrior . . .
-> (beat)
. . . but her lair-mate is The Heart of the Tiger.

THRAKHATH TURNS BACK AND MOVES IN ON ANGEL WITH DEATH IN HIS EYES - - AS THE BLOODTHIRSTY CRIES FROM THE CROWD REACH A CRESCENDO. . .

Just saw this. That's a good point. I know that if I was Blair, or Angel, and were about to die, I'd my best to hurt the son of a bitch first. Hell, even if I wasn't I still would. But that is an excellent point, especially the part about wanting to save his race. Thrakhath, however, has a very warped opinion of honor, if he does have any at all, and lives by his own rules. Hobbes and Eisen say as much in the novel. But I remember an old cartoon, Twins of Destiny (it was the first example I'd seen of a cartoon not primarily aimed at kids) and the main henchperson or whoever is killed. As he is dieing, we see him at his finest, praising the good guys for their actions and encouraging them to stop the evil Chinease Emperor, or some words like that, haven't seen this for 'years.' One of the characters remarks that death brings wisdom to even the cruelest of hearts, and Thrakhath might well have been the same, but I doubt it. (I'm biased against him).
