Evil Fan Wciv Reviews!!!!!

The story was simple but highly efficient to create a more or less realistic campaign IMO.

What I lied best about Balance was the ability to fly the B-Wing (never did it before) and the cutscenes.
 
The cutscenes were normal, the story was too clumsy...
let's make a stronhold in the outer rim Yeah !! (Rebels)
let's destroy the stronhold in the outer rim Yeah !! (Empire)

Always wondered why the B-Wing is included in the fewest games. I think that's the way it is, anyway.
 
I think is always only included in add-ons as a flyable ship. Probably to make the purchase more attractive.

Yeah, 3 Ion cannons ! :cool:
 
I never liked the B-Wing. I felt lop-sided in it because of the ship's enlongated design. I perfer A-Wings overall.
 
Give me any craft in X-Wing: Alliance besides civvie craft, and I can take out fleets of SSDs and SD-IIs no problem. I loved doing that in the simulator and achieving Top Ace 4th Order!

Oh, BTW...go to www.xwaupgrade.com to download some patches that make the 3d models of ships and weapons look so much better!!:D
 
I love flying the Tie-Ex. 3, because not only is it fast and just as maneuverable as Defenders, but because it has turbolasers!
 
I love the Missile Boat and the Tie-Defender...and about the rebels, the best rebel is the dead one !:D
 
I think that my favourite Capital ship in Star Wars has to be the Mon Calimari Cruiser or the Mon Calimari Star Cruiser. I love those ships.;) By the way, please don't rub it in if I spelt Mon Calimari wrong. As you may or may not of learnt yet, I'm not a very good speller.

The A-Wing is my favourite Rebel fighter too but as a bomber the B-Wing really rocks, more than the Assault Gunboat or the Y-Wing.

One question: I thought you couldn't fly those experimental TIEs in Alliance. Can you?
 
DUDE! Go to X-Wing Alliance folder...

then find the notepad file named 'shiplist'...

scroll down and you should see something like this...

!SPECIES_116!TIE Experimental M3,Fighter,Nonflyable,Unknown,Skirmish, 234,97 ,240,106,499,14 ,527,40

Delete 'Nonflyable' and replace with 'Flyable' (make sure you capitalize that F!!), then save changes and exit! You can change the other command lines just the same...you should then be able to fly them in the sim. Enjoy!:D
 
I must admit, my experience with PC X-Wing games is very limited - I didn't like the only options of control being a joystick or a mouse. So I've only played the original X-Wing on CD.

But I do have Rogue Squadron on the N64 and I have to say my favourite is... the Naboo N-1! But only because it's been ridiculously over-powered and you can fly in every mission minus the Speeder levels. Incredibly fast acceleration, rapid-fire TIE lasers and a huge stock of seeking proton torpedoes. :) Barring that, the X-Wing is my favourite - the A-Wing is too fast for most ground missions.

I'd like to do that, problem is I don't own XW:Alliance, only played it on a LAN party on a friend's PC.

Yeah yeah enought about that. Lets talk about Capships. Capships are great. I think that they are one of the best things in space sims. And I love watching capship battles. I don't know why. I just think that there great. The only thing better then a capship battle, is a fleet of capships, attacking another fleet of capships. There are GREAT!:D
 
That last post would be really funny if you said it like Bevis.
