Even monks like a bit of booze!

With all said and done, true the cockpit visuals givesa nice feel, but I feel safer when I can clearly see which direction enemy fire is coming from. :) I also find it much easier to dog a target....so much simpler than flashing your own LOS back and forth from the radar display to see where they went. Which is why I'm very thankful for having the option to turn the dashboard off.

BTW, something just occurred to me...Darkmage, you wouldn't happen to be named Derek, with a brother named Nathaniel, would you? :)

Wedge: There are cockpits (of some sort) in every space sim... the legs and the hand are what makes WC cockpits really unique. So they are a necessity :).
