Yeah, I usally fire all I got when I come into a strait run with another ship, they usally don't last that long. Also, to help my accuracy, I press "I" to bring up al ittle target thing that helps you hit the enemy better.

Well, in RF, the most obvious choice for weapons would be four Fusion Cannons. 'Cause the take very little energy and they are strong.

Actually, I liked fighting in asteroids in Privateer because when you go full speed the enemies run into the asteroids. Especially the Kilrathi. If your a good pilot you have the advantage. Although, if you suck at flying, you're done.

I've noticed in P1 that when you get a lot of money you get attacked more frequently by pirates. Is this true or is it just my imagination?

I always thought the missions in WC1 and 2 with the asteroids wer very hard, because the game would run really really fast, even when I used moslow. I must of been using it wrong or something.

Gee, I don't know. When I try it with it copied to the hard drive, it runs great, but, oh well. You can try with the CD. It doesn't really matter.

Ashman, if your CD isn't working, then maybe you should try just copying the .tre files(both Priv.tre and rf.tre about 150mb) into the privateer directory. Then change the priv.cfg and rf.cfg in notepad and changing the directories(ex. =C:\Privater\priv.tre). Sure, it takes up space, but, you...

Can you even get to go to those systems in WC games, the only ones I've played were WC1, 2, and WCP(and Privateer of course).
