Clarification: I never postulated that the Star Gods actually are gods; I do, however, say that if the Nephilim were advanced enough to create a myth of being gods four thousand years ago, they should have been damn near unbeatable now. My theory is that the so-called Star Gods and the Nephilim...
"That being said, it must be admitted that the enemy's known level of technology could well have been achieved by the Mantu in the last two centuries, and they remain a suspect, or at least a primary line of inquiry." -Nonhuman Historical Analysis, Prophecy Gold Manual.
We don't "think" that...
The Nighthawk is actually obsolete as far as stealth technology goes. And who is the idiot who said you don't have to worry about EM in space? If anything, radar would be more effective in space, without atmosphere or too much in the way of line-of-sight problems that we have down on Earth.
If it's mostly Kilrathi myth, how could they be so certain that the Mantu were moving? It seemed to me that they were working off recon data from probes or something.
And aren't the novels canon?
I think there may be experiments going on here in the States on chameleonic coatings for aircraft, which makes them extremely hard to see with the naked eye. Add that to active and passive stealth, and you have a pretty hard target.
According to the WC3 novelization, the Mantu had kicked the snot out of whoever they were fighting coreward, and were headed back in this direction.
Here's a thought: what if the Nephilim were the race that the Mantu hammered, and they are fleeing the Mantu? It would explain why we kicked...
It is stated in the Prophecy Gold manual that the bugs follow a completely different modus operandi than the Mantu. The Mantu apparently have quite a bit of documentation on the part of the Kilrathi, so we know that the bugs aren't them.
Okay, I think you're nitpicking now, LOAF. In my book, when there are two women in a picture, even if they look similar enough to be the same woman twice, it's two of them. Which leaves the original question unanswered, namely, why are they there?
I tried this in the Tech support forum, and didn't get any replies, so I thought I'd try here. Does anybody know how to take screenshots in KS? I tried printscreen, but it doesn't seem to work.
I think I may have heard her referred to as the TCS Mt. St. Helens, at least in the novel. She isn't referred to by the full name in the game, just like the mountain itself is often referred to only as St. Helens.
I never said that all is gardens and flowers, I know more than most of those around me just how ubiquitous war is. Let's face it, the human race has never known real peace. The most we've seen is pauses in the killing. The world is a nasty, brutish, and violent place, which is why we need...
