Hey. I just bought an old copy of the original edition of WC3 (Not Kilrathi Saga) and I'm wondering if there's a way to use it with the directdraw hack. If not, then what's the best way to play it? VDMsound doesn't seem to work in Windows 7 and with DOSbox it stutters.

Thanks for the help! it works great. However there's just one minor thing- the keboard or mouse don't work unless i miniize the game and click it again. Is there a way to fix that? EDIT: I found out how to fix it- i just din't run it in compatibility mode.

I did a complete install of the CD upgrade patch by itself, with WC4 completely deleted from my hard drive. If i don't use the this patch 3 error messages pop up saying: -Error: An object or name was not found -DXMCI Error: Error loading video -Missing movie: c:\vob\sc_0010a.dll

This should work with the wing commander 4 CD to DVD upgrade patch, right?

It says something can't be located in the dynamic link library mpeg2.

Thanks for the help, AD. I guess i'll just have to play it normal (With the crash fix, of course). Does anyone know how they made the high quality WC4 DVD cut-scenes? Did they have to have access to the original footage? (By the way, ChrisReid, I legitimately own WC4).

When ever i try using the direct draw hack for wing commander 1-3 i just get a blank screen. I am running xp with direct x 10, and i tested it and it worked. Help would be appreciated.
