Wing Commander direct draw problems

When ever i try using the direct draw hack for wing commander 1-3 i just get a blank screen. I am running xp with direct x 10, and i tested it and it worked. Help would be appreciated.

DDhack is Vista/Win7 only IIRC. The potential to port it properly into WinXP is there but it hasn't been done in a way that's usable to most people.

As we established in the other thread, the biggest problem is that you have a pirated copy of the game. We'd be happy to help you if you encounter problems with the super-cheap and legal GOG versions of the games.

Thanks for the help, AD. I guess i'll just have to play it normal (With the crash fix, of course). Does anyone know how they made the high quality WC4 DVD cut-scenes? Did they have to have access to the original footage?

Not sure how owning WC4 makes it ok to download pirate copies of any other game.
I must read the WC4 EULA more carefully.
