Yes, I believe that's it. It's a nice idea, though the number of mines is unfortunately far too low, so overall it's not that exciting. Still, 'tis a credit to the design team, to have even thought of such a mission.

A couple of maces though would help clean up a minefield rather nicely if its large.

I don't get it, weren't they cleaning the mines to protect the Midway? Isn't the Midway suppossed to be resistant to everything but Plasma guns and Torps? <confused >

Even if you know your shields can stand anything you wouldn`t risk your ship with just flying through a minefield. Nowone knows, there might be a new type of mine and BOOM...suddenly the Midway's gone.

Of course minefields are dangerous for capships. A single mine might not penetrate phase shields, but if you get five, or ten, or two hundred mines exploding at the same time...
