Confederation ships have heavily shielded, centralized computer rooms with a complete backup system.
Kilrathi ships, however, have numerous seperate computers throughout the ship which are linked together, and the backups are spread throughout the network. If part of the ship is destroyed, it is less likely to severely impact the network. |
