Both POL and E&B would have been published by EA, and they didn't want to compete with themselves...

Because EA likes Westwood more that Origin
Now that we think of it, its kinda stupid because Privateer would have the suport of WC fans as the Westwood game is somthing that they never made, and just because RA2 sold does not nean that this game will.
But EA is not know by its logical choises of late, their online develoment directives is very stange.

Strange indeed. And I think they should release such a simulator by Origin which is known for good sci-fi. Westwood never brought any game of that kind, did they?
