...which reminds me: How come the launch sequence from WC1 has you (apparently) launching from a tube?...

Didn't the "Claw" have an open flight deck (kinda a cross between a current carrier flight deck and WC3/4, in that the "aft" portion of the flight deck was enclosed, while the majority of it was "open")?...

Or, was the visible flight deck for LANDINGS, and the launches took place from "tubes" elsewhere located in/on the Claw?...

The Tiger's Claw had launch tubes in its 'wings'. Fighters landed and were worked on in the large bay.
