Wasn't the Bannockburn stored in the cargo bay of the same transport that carried the Surveilance rig. I don't think it could have been carried in the bay of Tarawa since the Tarawa had so much surveilance gear in her she was only carrying something like 4 fighters due to deck restraints.

Actually, it might have been. From what I had read, it wasn't really clear. It's a moot point, though. That transport was even smaller than the Tarawa.
