I hate P2 with a passion because of the gameplay. Nonetheless, having recently spent an afternoon watching P2 cutscenes, I must agree that it was a nice change of pace. P2's movies had a rather unique style, not quite Film Noir and not quite anything else. I even liked the weirdness (though this is one of the things I used to complain about), simply because the characters acted as though it was all perfectly normal to them, thus reinforcing the feeling that we're looking in on a different universe.
The gameplay, though... :rolleyes:

I think that page to which LOAF posted the link sums up most of the issues very well. I mean, I could rant about the gameplay and perhaps come up with something that isn't already mentioned in the two articles, but I don't see the point of that :p.

Edit-Yeah, i must agree with that, but i find the game,at least, good to play.

The word "weird" in that statement has nothing to do with the word "British" other than they both modify "Sci Fi universe."
 
British sci-fi isn't wierd, just a lower budget. They don't have ultra flashy mega computer guys like holiwood so they compensate with a better plot and dialog.

And as for that stupid argument before...
stop complaining about the lack of new games, try learning new things or helping along the only way we can. Mods. Personaly a WC mod for Red Faction would rock but unless i get off my ass and do it myself it will never be done. I think that there has been enough Harakh in this thread so lets talk about the real purpose of this thread.

Wierd, but not too bad. The design of the fighters were cool. And I liked the mass-ion cannon very much. But I missed my good old massdrivers in that game!

I had forgotten about that... I just started playing the game again, i forgot how fun it was.
 
One of these days, one of these days, I'll find a copy of P2 to complete my WC collection and make my own judgement of its merits.

That scene was weird, and why are you confusing LOAF with Frosty?
 
There was one cutscene, which made me always grin. It's these were these guy whose name I forgot gives you the mission to escort a transport of hardware from Bex to Anhur.
The acting was quite funny here.

I just found a copy of P2 at Half Price Books last week. And a guy who just moved is giving me all his WC stuff.. and it looks like he might have a copy of P2.
