Wing Commander Academy's hospital ship is a real weirdo.






Academy had a real time crunch during preproduction and model sheets for capital ships were one casualty. That's why they reuse the same style of Kilrathi warship repeatedly (as a transport, carrier, blockade runner, etc.) and even use the Claw Marks art as ref a few times!

I kind of like it; it looks like a modular building as a starship that could simply land on a battlefield and work as an autonomous building; then when the campaign is over, simply lift off and fly to the next planet where it is needed. I sort of imagined those three big square sections under the ship as huge thrusters to land and take off. The bit with the yellow dot could be the bridge/command centre; and the grey circle as a "helipad" for shuttles and aerodynes to land on planetside.
