One last thing about the guy wich I can´t say the name. Last time any of us saw him he was facing a alien twice as big as him, with no weapons and in a near to explode jump gate. C'mon, get real.
 
THis violates the well known "no talking bout that" agreement. BTW if you noticed he could have reached his gun. But enough said, if I was a moderator I would close this thread
 
Shooter, the problem around here is that people who close down threads, or hand down edicts (I believe it was Quarto who said to a cadet that anyone who talked about Blair would be shot), don't give reasons for people to understand WHY something is banned to be talked about.

C'mon mods, give people reasons! Don't be tyrants.

I thought it was simply that we dont know either way and people get into big fights about it anyway so it is not to be talked about.
 
First of all, me and Quarto are only moderators. Meaning we moderate, by the rules set up by the Admins. and they don't always give explenations for those rules (because they don't have to <G>).

Second, discusing Blair's wherabouts isn't prohibited, but we do ask you that you think before you post. That subject has been discused to death, and myself, I'd prefer that people would just look through the old posts to see what others think about the subject.

Not to mention that like vs threads, this can also lead to flames being thrown around by idjjjots.

And third, if anyone has problems with the rules, don't bring it up here, but send an email to the CIC.
 
...And when you do go searching for old posts, don't resurect them.

I never thought I'd see the day when people accuse me of being a tyrant... it's at times like this that I miss the wonderful contrast provided by Frosty.

Redwolf, I believe that anyone who took that "will be shot" comment literally, deserves to be shot :). And in fact, the Blair thing is explained very well in the rules - it's controversial, and it has been debated to the death. People go nuts over this topic. And since there is absolutely no way for either side to win, it usually comes down to people yelling nonsense at each other.

Furthermore, if you look at the rules, and then look at how we enforce them in reality, you will undoubtedly be thankful that you've got us as Admin and Mods. Seriously, how much more lenient could we possibly get?
 
Ohhh, I remember Voltron. I turned up here during the end of his final mad posting spree just before he was banned for good.

Didn't he keep going on about how when a muti-player WC came out he would own us all!?
 
There was a little interview of the WCP/SO producer here ont he CIC, and they originally planned to bring him back in the future, although they still didn't know how. But that was some time ago... and a completly different thing can happen.
 
Somebody else already mentioned it but I think it would be cool for Blair to return as some sort of "Hobbes", but of course in the end Blair would never betray the Confederation. :)

Napoleon, you are thinking about that one were the bugs are one of three races and they were only come to find Blair.
That one is false, but Blair death was left open until SO, he could still be alive or not, its EA/Origin call.
