How much did you pay for your Wing Commander Games?

Here's my list:

Wing Commander I = £1.25 (Second Hand)
Wing Commander II: Vengence of the Kilrathi = £1.25 (Second Hand)
Wing Commander II: Vengence of the Kilrathi (Deluxe CD-Rom Version) = £4.99
Wing Commander IIi: The Heart of the Tiger (Psx) = £9.99 (Second Hand)
Wing Commander IV: The Price of Freedom (Psx) = £9.99 (Second Hand)
Wing Commander: Prophecy = £4.99

I don´t remember, Brazil has had 5 different currencies since 1989 :(.

But I bought Priv1 and WC4 in the U.S. I paid US$ 15 for that "Classic games" Priv version and US$ 70 for WC4.

The most expensive WC game now is Kilrathi Saga, at Ebay.

Same thing here.
15$ for the classic things. (WC, WC2, Priv, Armada...)
About 40$ for WC3, witch was packed with Bioforge and something else.
20$ for Priv 2 (Second Hand)
0$ for WC4 :) (Received as a gift)
25$ for Classic WC4 French (In a blue box). Funny.
40$ for Prophecy
0$ for Secret Ops.

Btw, if you're into buying/selling used games and lived in the U.S., it may become soon illegal
I got this from GameSpyDaily: "Well, the copyright issues in the United States are heating up! Competing bills in the house of representatives are fighting to either lock-down your ability to do anything with any files (goodbye fair use) or to restore your rights. USAToday has a nice little article about it all. This becomes a big deal when we start talking about LANParties. One part of the lock-down bills would prevent you from re-selling any digital media you own. For instance, video game re-sale may fall under that. "
http://www.usatoday.com/tech/news/techpolicy/2002-10-07-net-copyright_x.htm

Provisions of the bills would let:

Consumers play digital works on devices of their choice, such as a personal video recorder, to save a digital TV broadcast to watch later.

Consumers sell or give away the original copies of digital works they have bought.

Manufacturers market devices that make non-infringing digital copies. (Uploading to the Net may not be included.)

How does that keep me from selling old games on Ebay?

Well, I just copy/paste the news from GameSpy. I guess the GameSpy guys and I didn't read the Usa Today's article carefully enough. It doesn't look that bad after all.

Thanks, I feel better. Now let's go shopping.

What I paid. Keep in mind, I only purchase games if they come in their original box with all their manuals, etc intact and in good shape.

Wing Commander: N/A
Wing Commander 2: $7
Wing Commander 3: $15
Wing Commander 4: $15 (but included all the stuff in the box and an additional copy of WC3 at no extra charge)
Wing Commander Prophecy: $10
Wing Commander Prophect Gold: $15
Wing Commander Armada: $10

It's bad, it's just not bad in application to resale rights.

Ya, I'm with you on the WC3 "package deal". It was bundled with BioForge and, I think, System Shock 1. It cost me ~$25 or so at Media Play.

Here's my list (All these were bought used, but in good/great shape, with all manuals/etc. intact, unless otherwise noted):

WC1: $5
WC2: $10
WC3: New; see note above. Net price works out to ~$8. I bought another copy (used, CD's only) later for $5
WC4: $20 or $30 new
WC4 DVD: (CD only) $1 at a local flea market!...
WCP: $0 new (It was a Christmas present)
WC Gold (WCP/SO): $30 new. I think I got it at a local EB; sold my WCP to a friend for $20, so net cost ~$10
Privateer: $10 new, I think
Priv 2: $20

WC:KS: Pending (if ever)

KS- Free
WC IV- Free
Prophecy-$ 20-30 (can't remember exactly)
Secret Ops- Came in Prophecy Gold bundle: Free

Wow, I guess I'm pretty cheap.

WC1+WC2 CD-ROM: $45 (bought in 1994)
WC3 german: $60
WC4 german: $50
WC4 english: $30 (2nd hand)
Priv2 german DOS version: $45
WCP german: $45
KS: $30 (bought in Jan 98)
Priv2 english Win9x version: $18 (bought in 2002 at SoftwareSavings UK)

When most of the games were initially released I probably paid 60 to 100 dollars for them (the game plus overnight shipping from EA Direct). The most I've paid for a Wing Commander game is probably about $250 (a rare port of WC2)... the least was, of course, nothing (for Secret Ops).

I'd gladly pay four figures for any of the unreleased stuff, though (WC2 SNES, WCP DVD, WC3 Saturn, WC4 3DO).

Yeah, we should once again try to con WCP DVD out of someone...

Originally posted by TopGun I've seen WCP Gold Edition for £4.99 (Second Hand, in a shop called Gamestation in the UK)

If it's scratch free, you probably could make a tidy sum if you grabbed it and sold it to a CIC member for a very reasonable £20.
