Origin Pricing Guide circa???

I suspect a bit of MSRP inflation so stores can claim to be giving you a discount. As sure as getting scanned in Perry, I didn't pay $80 for Privateer OR Wing Commander 2!

In the wild west days of computer software stores, however, there was also more variety in pricing. Games that MSRP'd at $50 could be found for $35 if you had an awesome discount store nearby... or they could be $55 if you had more limited local choices. Sometimes it even seemed like prices moved in waves where everyone was a bit under MSRP for a while, and then everyone was at or slightly higher than MSRP. You also had places like Egghead that increased the price by about 10% on everything to encourage you to by their 10% discount membership, if I recall correctly.
