Newbie Question on WC Prophecy

Well considering what they did, make it all the way to the Kilrathi home system, making it back all was no minor miracle. Made Custer's Carnival look like a cake walk.
 
A miracle, if the Concordia did not show up, they would never got back, but that was a suicide mission all along, if fact if the Kilrathi battle group did not made that wrong jump would they survive long enough to set up the bombs?
 
Ah, but all Wing Commander strategies rely entirely on luck. One must remember that.

They were in system long enough to do the damage they did before the Kilrathi carriers showed up. They had to hurry to finish setting bombs before the cat fighters were within striking range though. But for the most part they didnt have that pressure on them when they arrived. They only had to worry about insystem defenses.
 
The Cats trow evething they got at then (Pilots in training mostly) but rememeber that the home fleet was else were, only the prince 2 or 3 carriers were going back to help defend the home world.
They get there late, if they did not....
the mission was to divert part of the home fleet, not a direct attack at the shipyards, they got really lucky since that was the fleet for the next offensive.
 
The main mission was to divert a few carriers so that there was a chance the Confed fleet at Vukar Tag would win. They got lucky that the diverted carriers didnt arrive sooner. But think of it this way, if Thrakath had followed through with his suspisions that Vukar was a trap, then the Tarawa would have had an easy time destroying the shipyards. Its just that most of Confed's fleet carriers would have been destroyed as a trade off.

I take it the 'fake' script was the one at Aces, but where did you find the 'original' original script? Would it still be possible for us to see it? Since it was cut from 400 pages and all that, it's be nice for us to see how things were really meant to be...
