need idea

fighters lauch from the hanger under the flight deck and land on the flight deck the hangar exit can be seen in the second pic of my ship

Oh, it dont get much better than the Scimitar:) A wall of armor and sheilds and mass drivers that plow thru the enemy

Hum... I'm confused... wouldn't the Raptor be better then, because it has BETTER shields and Neutron guns on top of the mass drivers?
Or perhaps even the Rapier... more manoeuvrable? :)
 
Well technically the Scimitar is BARELY more manuverable than the Raptor, but it has what the others dont, STYLE!

If the ship takes a direct hit on the flight deck couldnt that take out the hanger deck too? Make it a two with one shot?
 
And we know how much a carrier with its flight deck disabled can be vulnerable... (cf False Colours... :) )
 
the flight deck is heavily armored i havent decided on a number yet but it should take a direct torpedoe hit and the hanger still be funtional
