Is it functional? I mean, does the blade pop out, or is it fixed?

no, it's not. u have to put the "blade" in it's not really a knife in the sence that is is not sharp, has no edge, and only has one finished side. but it is still cool and worth it.
 
Naw, just around the house or with friends... well, I think I need to see an actual model before I go to extrems of wearing it EVERYWHERE. hehehhe
