Which Era is Your Fav?

Simple question Which era is your Favorite Blasting cats,Humans or bugs?

For me it's Humans from Confed when I'm flying a BWU Banshee off the Intrepid.

I agree on a Sabre or Raptor, but instead of a Broadsword I'd prefer one of the newer Bombers (Name?) introduced in SO2 (or was is in SO1?)

OK, thanks... thinking about it again, I never really liked Bombers :D ... and I have to agree with Loozer, the "front view" was quite confusing... same for the Dralthi you fly in SM2 (or was it in SM1? Sorry, haven't played the older WCs for years)
 
Jay, Kilrathi war all the way! MOre specifically the WC1 or WC2-era all the way.

And Jochen, your first guess was correct: You fly the Dralthi in SM2 which I loved to do. :)
 
WC3-style Kilrathi War....though WC1 and 2 are just as good.

Fighting humans is ok, but I never particularly enjoyed being in the Border Worlds, and the Nephilim are just dumb...
 
Help ME?

The reason I started this poll is I wanted to write a WING COMMANDER FAN-FICTION STORY and I wanna knoe which Era of Conflict most people like and the one with the most votes is when i'll have my setting for my story.
 
Write what you want. The opinions of the reading audience are too varied to really guide you in any way. I would recommend doing a fanfic on the time period you know best. This includes the technology, politics, and personalities. This way we can get your best work.
 
I agree with Dragonslayer. I think you should write about the period you know best.

My best period I know the most about would have to be the Wing Commander 4 era.

What Types of Missions does the WC4-Banshee Fly? My PSX WC4 Manual say it's a Heavy Fighter is that right?
 
Heavy fighter? The banshee? Laughable. And the Broadsword was a recon ship. It would seem best suited for escort and general medium/light fighter roles, such as recon. IMO that is.

It's a light fighter. Comparable to the arrow if you realy need mission ideas.

The Banshee is more of a light fighter -- although it is 'officially' a heavy fighter (according to various manuals). Possibly because it was modified from a heavy patrol ship...
 
I would have to say WC1 and WC2 era, I think the Kilrathi has so much character and in a way has very similiar characteristics to humans, but fighting just humans doesnt give that SCI in the genre SCIFI, and I agree with Ladiesman^. The nephilim were dumb and had no character, I think the developers of Prophecy ran out of ideas.
